Eden report W/C 20th of May
2 salmon on Monday from Warwick Hall then the rain started. By Thursday morning the river peaked at 11,6ft.
As it stands the river is 3,5ft and tinted visibility of around 3ft, looking forward there’s more rain expected nothing to major but enough to keep the river steady.
Trout fishing- the may fly have started and fish are seen feeding thought the day also the late night rise is very encouraging.
As we head into summer and low water, it might be worth starting later and fishing until dark for both salmon and trout. Whilst fish may go deep and sulk during the sunny days and become active at night.
The Eden rivers trust auction has started with lots of exciting lots.

We at FishPal would like to thank Terence McDonnell for his regular reports, he is a farmer who started fishing for trout as a young boy. The late Victor Gubbins, Eden Lacy beat, introduced him to salmon fishing a few years ago along with Andrew Jackson, and since then he has been passionate about it. Working on the land near the Eden, Terence is never far away from the river as we thank him for his reports.
